Description
Rokopol® RF55 is a general purpose multifunctional polyether sorbitol polyol for polyurethane (PUR) rigid and semi-rigid foam production in reaction with isocyanate. The product has a form of liquid, ranging from transparent to light yellow, containing BHT free antioxidants. It retains high viscosity of ca. 9000 mPas with high functionality of f=4.7, and ensures flowability during the foaming process of rigid foam. Rokopol® RF55 is a product dedicated for manufacturing polyurethane (PUR) products of moderately low viscosity and increased flame-retardant content which decreases the hydroxyl value, and thus for manufacturing PUR foam with improved mechanical properties. Rokopol® RF55 is used in combination with other polyols and additives in order to improve the PUR system properties, in particular: viscosity, reactivity, gelling, crosslinking level and the end parameters of rigid foam: i.e. adhesion to various substrates, combustion modification, hardness, abrasiveness, closed-cell content (insulation properties). Main application advantages of Rokopol® RF55: It ensures flowability during the foaming process of rigid foam; Based on the physicochemical properties of the polyol the foam obtained is marked by improved mechanical properties; It enables modification of the PUR system properties based on its compatibility with other polyols and additives; The product ensures long gelling times of PUR foam; Most frequent applications of Rokopol® RF55: Closed-cell foams used for thermal insulation (cooling technology, heat insulating); PUR sandwich panels; 2K foam spray systems; Special low volume applications, including moulded rigid foam; Self-extinguishing foams Products made based on Rokopol® RF55 are of excellent quality. Based on the optimally developed manufacturing process this polyol is distinguished by very good parameters, not only in PUR systems.
